Drained was created by University of Regina journalism students studying Investigative Journalism and Intermediate Broadcast in 2019. The students’ local media partners was the Regina Leader-Post. The project was part of a national investigative collaboration, Tainted Water, coordinated by the Institute for Investigative Journalism at Concordia University.
